After a brush with death five years ago, eclectic carmaker Bristol has built its first new model in a decade. The new Bristol Bullet evokes the bygone era when the brand was most alive, combined with modern materials and engineering.
I attended the Bullet’s launch on behalf of Car Design News and chatted with the company’s engineering director, Noamaan Siddiqi.
The new car is a modern interpretation of an undocumented Bristol speedster built in the 1960s, found under a dust sheet by the company’s new owners.
Key quote
“We said, well, here is something: a Bristol that was never released, that never made serial production but was, from the right angles, an incredibly pretty car”
