Executive interviews
I travelled to Gothenberg to interview Max Missoni, vice president of exterior design at Volvo Cars, for a feature in the 2018 Car Design Review yearbook. Interviews in the yearbook are written in first-person style. I carefully built a cohesive narrative from direct quotes, extracted from recordings taken during discussions about the company, its cars, Missoni’s early life and career, his management style and motivations.

Automotive Interiors World commissioned an interview with Amko Leenarts, freshly installed as head of design at Ford of Europe. We spoke on the phone about what makes a good design manager, the likely priorities of Ford’s recently appointed new CEO, and Leenarts’ own career history and plans for the future of Ford design.
