Under the skin of the Morgan EV3
Sports car maker Morgan is adding something quite futuristic to its range of traditionally styled roadsters – a battery electric version of its quirky 3 Wheeler called the EV3.
The 3 Wheeler is normally powered by a big American V-twin motorcycle engine, but in electric guise it will have a battery in the nose and an electric motor behind the seats.
For a feature commissioned by Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology International I interviewed engineers from Morgan as well as development partner Potenza Technology.
