Studio visit: Morgan Motor Company
I pitched an article to Car Design News about Morgan, the time-warp British sports car manufacturer.
While the company’s products retain 1940s style most are now high-tech under the skin, using advanced materials and techniques such as superformed aluminium, which is widely used in aerospace but still a rarity among road vehicles.
Jonathan Wells, Morgan’s head of design, very kindly spent a couple of hours guiding me around the factory and talking about the company’s approach to design and engineering.
