Interior Motives: Citroën CXperience
The Citroën CXperience concept car was one of the stars of the 2016 Paris Motor Show. Interior Motives magazine commissioned a feature about the car’s development.
To research the piece I interviewed Jean-Arthur Madelaine-Advenier, Citroën head of interior styling, about a week before the unveiling. Then on the show floor in Paris I spoke to Frédéric Duvernier, Citroën’s head of concept cars, and CXperience exterior designer Grégory Blanchet.
The 10-page article is available only to magazine subscribers; alas it’s not accessible online.
Key quote
“We were inspired by the idea of cutting into a fruit, with the exterior looking extremely monolithic, like a grey stone, and when you open the door you have this flash of super-bright colour popping out”
