Persistence pays off. I first requested an interview to talk about the Tata Bolt EV project in July. After many repeat requests I eventually got to speak to someone in September, by travelling to the LCV2016 event at Millbrook. The article was published in December, in the January 2017 edition of Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology International.
The story is about Tata’s efforts to build a low-cost electric car for India.
Key quote
“The aim is a range of 120 to 140 kilometres. It’s not intended to be an interstate vehicle; it’s for congested cities and we’ve got a few of those in India.”
David Hudson, group chief engineer, Tata Motors European Technical Centre (TMETC)
